!!!CLOSED BETA!!! Zapier for Cortado is currently only available as a closed beta version. If you are interested in a test, please contact us by email (hello@cortado.com). With Zapier, you can create automatic workflows to simplify work processes in your company. In this How-To, we present a Zapier workflow for receiving automatic notifications about the number of devices you have.
Note! General information on how Cortado and Zapier work can be found in our help article How to use Cortado when creating Zapier workflows.
Aim
In this How-To we will show you how you can be regularly informed by e-mail about the number of all devices registered in the Cortado administration portal.
Implementation
- Log in to Zapier with your access data.
- Click on Create (upper arrow in illus.) and then on Zaps (lower arrow in illus.) to create a new automated workflow.
Select, configure and test triggers
First select a trigger. This is an app with which a specific workflow (i.e. a zap) is to be set in motion.
- Click on Trigger (arrow in illus.).
- Following our scenario, select the integrated Schedule tool here (arrow in illus.).
- Now you can define an interval (trigger event) (upper arrow in illus.) at which you would like to receive the message about the number of your devices in the Cortado administration portal, e.g. daily (Every Day) (lower arrow in illus.).
- Then set the time at which you would like to receive a notification.
- Then test your trigger by clicking on Test trigger (arrow in left illus.).
- Then select your data record and click on Continue with selected record (arrow in right illus.).
Select, configure and test the first action
- In the next step, select the Cortado action (left arrow in illus.).
- Then set the action event (right arrow in illus.) to Count Devices (middle arrow in illus.).
- Now you need to log in to Cortado by clicking on Sign in.
- To log in to Cortado, you will need your Cortado API key (upper arrow in illus.).
- If you manage several organizations with Cortado, you will also need the ID of the organization for which you want to set up this Zap (lower arrow in illus.).
You can find your API key in the administrator administration of the administration portal.
- To do this, select the administrator (left arrow in illus.) and then click on Edit (middle arrow in illus.).
- Copy the API key (right arrow in illus.) to the clipboard and paste it under API Key in Zapier.
You can find more information on this in our help article How to access the Cortado MDM API.
You can find the ID of your organization in the settings in the General tab (arrow in illus.).
- Copy the ID if necessary and paste it into the appropriate place in Zapier.
- Test this step by clicking on Continue (left arrow in illus.) and Test step (right arrow in illus.).
Select, configure and test the second action
A second action is now added. Here you specify which app should forward the information (number of devices) to you. For example, you can now use any email app or the Zapier email tool.
- As an action event, select an option that causes an email to be sent (example in the image).
Now configure the e-mail to be sent.
- Enter a recipient and a subject (upper and middle arrow on the right in the image).
- Add an e-mail text. Click on the plus sign (lower arrow on the right) to select the number of available devices (arrow on the left).
- Finally, click on Continue.
- Test sending the e-mail in the next step (arrow in illus.).
- If the test was successful, you can now publish your new workflow by clicking on Publish (arrow in illus.).
From now on, you will receive an email at the specified time with the number of your devices available in the Cortado administration portal.
