App Configuration

Here you can find the configuration files for your selected device. These have already been downloaded in the First Steps Wizard and opened for the configuration of the Cortado app. If you have to configure your Cortado app again at a later point in time (for example if you have restored the factory settings), then you can restart your configuration here. To do so, go to App Configuration. Please note that the configuration file depends on your device. First select the device you are using before configuring it.

Lock Screen (only for iOS devices)

With this option you can lock the screens of lost or stolen iOS devices. On the device you are using select the lost device and then tap Lock Screen. After locking the device you can only unlock it if you have entered a passcode.

Lock Screen: Enter passcode to unlock (for iOS devices only)

Clear Passcode

With the option Clear Passcode you can delete the passcode from the selected device. The device’s user can then access the device without entering a passcode.

Wipe Full

With this option you can fully delete lost devices (meaning that your settings will be reset). Select the device you lost, on the device you are currently using and tap Wipe Full. After confirming the prompt, factory settings will be restored on your device.

Wipe Partial

With this option you can delete the Cortado app data from a lost device. On the device you’re currently using, select the missing device and tap on Wipe Partial. After the security prompt has been acknowledged, the configuration of the app will be deleted. All company relevant data (MDM profiles, Managed Apps) will be deleted from the device. All personal data is retained.

Locate

The Locate option appears only after this selection has been enabled by your administrator. With this option you can locate lost or stolen devices. Select the missing device on the device you are currently using (left illus.) and tap on Locate (middle illus.). A map with the location of the missing device will appear then (right illus.).

Requirement: The device and GPS are switched on. On Android devices the Google´s location service must also be switched on. For iOS devices, it is important to note that at Settings→ Privacy→ Location Service→ Cortado, the location service is enabled.
