On November 1, 2020, Apple will end its Apple Push Notification Service to deploy the more advanced http/2 protocol and at the same time close the notification service used up to now. Because Cortado Server 10 did not previously support the http/2 protocol for the notification service, we are now providing an update to ensure the ongoing availability of Apple devices. This update is only available for Windows Server 2016 or later, as the older Windows versions no longer meet the technical requirements for the Cipher Suites used by Apple.
The Cortado Server 10.0 Hotfix 2 update package can be found as usual in the Cortado Enterprise Portal.
Of course, if you are already using our Cortado Cloud, there is no need for any action on your part. We will enact the changeover to the new Apple notification service in a fully automatic and timely manner. Further information about our German hosted DSGVO (GDPR) compliant MDM solution can be found here.
If you need any assistance with updating the Cortado Server, you can request help from our Consulting Team at https://support.cortado.com.
